Abstract
Abstract: The energy transition and sustainable development in Algeria are closely linked to promoting the green economy. Algeria aims to diversify its energy mix and improve energy efficiency to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel dependency. Challenges in the green economy include creating sustainable jobs, preserving the environment, ensuring energy security, and transforming key sectors. However, there are obstacles like building technological and institutional capacities, securing financing, and raising stakeholder awareness. The energy transition offers promising prospects for an environmentally viable and economically prosperous future in Algeria. This article presents the aspects of the green economy in Algeria and highlights the challenges of the energy transition within this sustainable framework.
