الملخص
تأتي هذه الدراسة كمحاولة لرصد بعض تجليات الآثار الحضارية للهجرات الحجازية إلى شرق إفريقيا، وذلك من خلال أخذ عينات من مدونات المؤرخين المستشرقين، الذين كتبوا عن أحوال الإسلام والمسلمين. وأهم كتاب كان محورا للدراسة، هو كتاب "الدعوة للإسلام" "لتوماس أرنولد" أنموذجا، والذي يعد من أهم الكتب التي تحدثت عن الدور السياسي لهذه الهجرات، التي نتج عنها ظهور مجموعة من الممالك السياسية على الساحل الإفريقي، ارتقت إلى إرساء معالم الثقافة العربية-الإسلامية، من خلال: التعريب، ونشر العادات والتقاليد العربية، بالإضافة إلى وفود العلماء المتصوفة، والمراسلات العلمية مع العالم الإسلامي. وهذا كله بالاعتماد على كتب مستشرقين آخرين، كتبوا عن الظاهرة التاريخية نفسها، التي عالجها "توماس أرنولد"؛ لكن جلهم تباينت طروحاتهم حول الموضوع. This study attempts to trace some manifestations of the civilizational impacts of the migrations from the Hijaz to East Africa, through samples from the writings of oriental historians who documented the conditions of Islam and Muslims. The most important book that served as a focal point of study is 'The Call to Islam' by Thomas Arnold. This book is considered one of the most important works that discussed the political role of these migrations and their resulting emergence of a group of political kingdoms along the African coast. These kingdoms played a significant role in establishing the features of Arab-Islamic culture through Arabization, the dissemination of Arab customs and traditions, as well as the arrival of Sufi scholars and scholarly correspondences with the Islamic world. All of this is based on the works of other orientalists who wrote about the same historical phenomenon addressed by Thomas Arnold. However, their perspectives on the subject have varied
